Seminar & Extraordinary Patient Service

Continuing education is an important compliment to quality dental care. To that end the doctors and staff attended the “Detroit Dental Review” convention in Detroit on Friday November 20,2009. The seminar “Achieving Extraordinary service” presented by featured speaker Mrs. Rosemary Bray was fun and informative.
The staff all agreed patient service and satisfaction is an important part of what we do. The days learning will be put to good use. A Computer Replaces “the Shot”
Huszti Dental care is pleased to offer an alternative anesthetic delivery system. Very different from the traditional syringe the “wand” utilizes a computer and delicate sensors to make split second adjustments to optimize flow rate and insure comfort. Adults are able to compare & appreciate the difference from past experiences and – better yet – kids are not. Children who have positive experiences in the dental office are more likely to keep regular visits and benefit from preventive services- maintaining better than average oral health. Although Dr. Huszti and Dr. Chong-Huszti have worked with computerized anesthetic for years they are still excited about this technology. “ A relaxed and comfortable patient makes it all worthwhile.”
Patient Spotlight: Don Thompson & Emmy nomination

All of our patients are special but once in a while we like to brag. Dr.’s Huszti, Chong & staff are very excited to congratulate Don Thompson for his recent EMMY nomination ( video editing).
Don has several Emmy’s to his credit and was kind enough to bring one to his last dental appointment.
All honoree’s are invited to the black tie celebration at the motor city casino this year. Good luck Don!

Johnson elementary is pleased to announce its first annual “fun run” was a hit. Word has it some $10,000 was raised & Huszti Dental Care is pleased to have been a sponsor.

In addition to the sponsorship Dr.’s Bill and Anna Huszti volunteered their time on the day of the event too. Along with local running legend Doug Goodhue Dr. Bill led all kids in pre-run stretches. A special thanks to all organizers and volunteers. The doctors couldn’t be more pleased with the immediate success of the day but also the long term goal of promoting fun in conjunction with friends & exercise.
Most importantly the smiles on the kids faces showed all had a great time.

Spring Break at Yosemite

Dr.’s Bill and Anna Huszti are big fans of the National Parks. With daughters Olivia and Sophia getting older and spring break at hand it seemed the perfect time to introduce them to one of their favorites. The days were filled with hiking and sight-seeing. On the last day the road to the giant sequoias was closed so off the Huszti’s went for a 2 mile (up-hill) jaunt. When they finally reached the summit Sophia (6) was much too tired to be impressed and wanted to go back to the car.

After Yosemite the vacation continued to Monterey, Half moon bay and San Francisco. When the girls are asked their favorite part of the trip they invariably reply the hotel “pools”.

It was a great family trip full of memories.

Hartland, Michigan has been a rapidly growing community.Huszti Dental Care has been pleased to volunteer in neighboring schools & teach youngster the basics of oral health. Many young families have transitioned to Hartland from areas benefiting from city water.
As a result Hartland dentistry involves attention to prevention ( including professional fluoride treatments) but may have less restorative needs than other nearby communities. An analysis of individual wells may be beneficial.
Communities have unique signatures which affect its citizens and their oral health. I am honored to care for members of several communities and would like to share some general observations with you.
